We're looking forward to seeing everyone on Sat. Dec. 4 for the Holiday Party in Pt. Pleasant. Ken and I would like to invite the members over to our house prior to the party for a glass of holiday cheer....anytime from 5-6:45 works for us...social gathering, but there may be some garage/Jaguar talk as well. If you can rsvp, it would be helpful but not necessary. Happy Holidays!

Just want to put our two cents in about the Holiday party for members who read the forums--what a great night hosts Carl and Terry Mertens organized for the members who could attend: location, dancing, food, were all superb. Congrats to Clubperson of the Year Paul Johnson for a much deserved honor for all his efforts this year and also in previous years! We enjoyed seeing some of you prior to the party at our place for holiday bubbly.
A great evening out and we're glad to have this purely social gathering once a year...hope other members can make it in the future!

I'll second Pat's comment's on last night's gathering ;D and congratulate Paul Johnson on being recognized for his continuing efforts on behalf of our Club and it's membership. I'd also like to extend thanks for Pat and Ken Wignall for hosting their impromptu pre-party party yesterday afternoon. This small gathering of friends was a nice lead-in to the festivities that followed. Thanks so much for opening your home to us. Now for the question. Not having been to one of these parties before I have nothing to compare it to, but the event didn't seem all that well attended to me. I know some folks had existing plans that couldn't be broken and some even had to (gasp!) work! But for those of you that weren't otherwise engaged last night, what kept you away? The room really was very nice, the food was great, the music suited the mood well without getting in the way, and I didn't think the cost was out of line given the quality of the food and location. The only thing that could have made it better was if more people had come. So where were you?
