Hi everyone, I'm having some trouble reaching the guy with the car part art--can anyone give me his name/number (I believe it's Jim Gary) and I phoned and left a message but nothing back. Does anyone know him well? If he's not into it, I'll just find another oddball spot for us to have a moment of thanks.

Don't you think it would have been a good idea to talk to him first before you wrote the ad? I haven't gone to press yet, do you want me to leave that part out? Call it a "mystery destination"? I'm not above doing that on my own drives... ;D

Didn't think it would be a problem--I first heard about it in a NJ Guide I no longer have. Point taken though...I think something like Mystery destination is fine or even "local attractions". See you tomorrow!

On our way to the meeting tonight, but for anyone who isn't going to be there, we're all set for the visit to Jim Gary's car part art. Unfortunately, he's been under the weather with the effects of chemotherapy which delayed his getting back to me sooner. I propose we make it a great PEDC visit and uplift his spirits. Please mark your calendars.

What a great day! ;D Thank you, Pat, for organizing it. I've lived down here for 18 years and never knew Hinck's Turkey Farm existed. Only problem with that great turkey dinner was I immediately had to go home and take a nap (from all that L-Triptofan) and the rest of the day was pretty well shot. Wait a minute, all I was planning on doing was raking leaves, which I hate. Maybe that nap wasn't such a bad thing after all.

I forgot to mention that naps were the last leg of the day....after the Hinck's lunch and the rest of the members left, a following of Jaguar e-types followed us home to work on Charlie Schirm's idle (too fast)....3 hours later, I think it was an impromptu "tech session" folded into the drive day.
Thank you Wayne for being photog on site; for other members--look for the wrap up story of the drive in the next newsletter and we encourage the membership to make time next year for a November drive--it's great driving weather and the roads were pretty clear. Kinda perfect for an outing that doesn't interfere all day with chores, etc. All November events will end with Hinck's turkey and a nap afterwards. Pleasant dreams!
