To all of those interested in participating in the Oct 2nd drive to the Alba Vineyards Wine Tasting Festival, I will be making an entry to this forum as to wether the weather is going to play a part in deciding if Sunday the 3rd of Oct. will have to be used as the rain date for the tour. If you have any questions, let me know by e-mail at rebeltown@aol.com. We are shooting for Sat. as long as it doesn't look like rain. Cloudy skys alone will not cause the event to be rescheduled. Hope to see you all at the WaWa on rte. 537 in Jackson between Great Adventure and I-195 at 9:30 am. Gary S.

It's Friday morning and I'm thinking of postponing the Alba Vineyard tour to Sunday, Oct, 3rd but have not made my final decision yet... Sat. looks like rain in the afternoon and Sunday looks sunny all day. If anyone has an opinion let me know now or forever hold your peace. Gee that saying sounds familiar... Stay tuned and you'll get my final word this evening.

OK group, The weatherman has made up my mind and the drive to Alba Vineyards will be on SUNDAY. The afternoon on Saturday looks too iffy and the bad weather will arrive up in Warren County 4 hours before Monmouth/Ocean Counties. This may disappoint some and bring a smile to others but that's life... I have to catch a plane Sunday evening so I'll meet everyone at the WaWa on Rte 537 in Jackson BEFORE 10:00am as that will be the departing time. We need about 2 hours time to get to Alba Vinyards. We should get there by Noon. I will have to leave shortly after that to catch my plane in time but I'll have directions printed up for the drive home. Any Questions? Call tonite 732 938-5499

I'm glad it's Sunday...hopefully more members can attend. George Ruhnke stopped by our house today and is on his way to the wine festival....in WASHINGTON, D.C.! So no spitfire or loud mufflers! Looking forward to a nice afternoon! By the way, I heard that Jay Leno is in New Brunswick on Sunday afternoon at 3pm for the opening of a new theatre. Let's show him the cars!

Well I think it bites that Gary can't stay for the duration of his own party, but give him credit for thinking of the rest of us. We'll quaff a mug in your honor at dinner afterwards. Hey, I may have an empty seat if Leno wants to come along.

It's Sat. morning and I went to the WaWa to make sure nobody showed because they didn't get the word that the drive was changed to Sunday and guess what? Nobody showd up!! I guess that's a good thing... Hope to see all that can make it on Sunday morning, should be a nice cool sunny day for a drive.
