Is anybody out there reading this? On September 18th and 19th, the NJ Lighthouse Society will hold the annual Lighthouse Challenge. All 13 major NJ Lighthouses will be open for visitors. The entire tour takes 2 days and involves about 500 miles of driving, but I'm thinking we could pick a couple of these destinations and make a British car outing of it. Possible stops could include Hereford Lighthouse in Wildwood, with it's beautiful Victorian architecture and gardens, Absecon Inlet (Atlantic City), where you can climb the tower and view the magnificent first order Fresnel lens, ans Sea Girt with it's quaint brick building. Is anyone interested? Let us know and we'll start working out the details. I'm thinking Saturday the 18 with a rain date of Sunday the 19th. Reply here or to wsimpson2@nospam.comcast.net. Remove the "nospam." to get me proper address, that was just there to defeat any spambots that might be lurking.
